Hi, I’m Karena. Welcome to my page! As an award-winning portrait & landscape photographer, I strive to create the best image possible, documenting moments with natural light. I love capturing human connections. Human moments. Especially the love between two people. I am very grateful to live on the wildly natural Southern Gulf Islands of Pender Island in Canada, which is part of the unceded traditional territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ Indigenous people. I love spending time outdoors in nature with my camera. My favourite mountain and seaside locations include Singing Pass at Whistler, Stowell Lake on Saltspring Island, Beaumont Provincial Park on Pender Island, and Locarno Beach in Vancouver, British Columbia. It delights my soul to photograph an engaged couple in these gorgeous natural spaces and to capture their love in both candid and gently posed images. And, in doing so, create legacy photos that bring to mind again and again these deeply treasured moments and experiences.
